We will provide updates and opportunities to take action on:

• 2020 Appropriations Legislation: The House Ag spending bill includes good news for organic: a boost in funding for the National Organic Program and a provision requiring the USDA to restore fairness in organic dairy. What can we expect in the Senate bill? And will we get a budget deal by the September 30 deadline or head for another shutdown?

• Import Fraud: USDA will put forward new draft regulations this fall to address organic import fraud. Learn more about what we expect these regulations to include and how you can advocate for stronger enforcement.

• Legal challenge to withdrawal of organic animal welfare rules: NOC is part of a lawsuit challenging the withdrawal of the Organic and Livestock and Poultry Practices Rule. We will give an update on where that lawsuit stands.

• Advancing organic at the USDA: NOC will share additional updates about our efforts to restore fairness in organic dairy and our work related to hydroponic and container production in organic.
